Who We Are

For over 25 years, we have been providing speaking, training, consulting and coaching services to organizations who believe in investing in their most valuable assets – their people. We have helped thousands of leaders and hundreds of organizations realize their true leadership potential. And during this time, we kept hearing the same frustration over and over again – those who were transitioning to a new leadership role were struggling and organizations were frustrated with the ineffective leadership skills of their new and front-line leaders.

Our answer from From Bud to Boss. We wrote this book almost ten years ago because, in our experience with leaders and organizations, we knew that the most challenging leadership experience anyone will face isn’t the one at the top but the first promotion to a leadership position. It can be overwhelming to deal with the change and uncertainty that come with a new job, requiring new skills, and the promotion from peer to leader. And new leaders need a road map to be successful.

Our entire Bud to Boss program is built around the timeless principles that we introduced in From Bud to Boss. Bud to Boss teaches the core principles, techniques and approaches that new leaders can apply to any situation that they’ll face in their new role.

What Makes Bud to Boss Different?

We believe that training is an event and learning is a process. Real useful learning comes from a continual process of doing, trying, experiencing and applying. We will only ever see results we desire when we consider the “event” a spark for, rather than the completion of, the learning.

And that’s why every workshop that we offer is supported by processes that your new leaders can use and apply back in the real world, including live group coaching sessions that are designed to help leaders continue their learning after they return from the workshop. These sessions gives leaders access to a certified trainer for one full hour per session to help you continue to master the strategies and techniques you learn in the workshop.

We also build these same continual learning processes into our onsite and customized solutions as well!

Our Trainers

All of our training is led by top-notch professionals. Experts in their fields, each one is hand-selected and certified. This certification is an important process and helps each trainer to better understand our training philosophy, their role and the expectations of them – resulting in a more successful participant and workshop success!
